Affiliate disclosure

SHATOSHI is free to read. To help keep it that way, some pages include affiliate links. Here is how it works, with nothing hiding in the small print.

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra. You pay the same price as anyone else.

Who we work with

We currently have affiliate links with Ledger, Blockstream Jade, BitBox, Umbrel, Start9 and Koinly (crypto tax software). Start9 gives our readers 5% off with code SHATOSHI, and we may earn a commission when the code is used. SHATOSHI is also a member of the Amazon Associates programme (store ID shatoshi-21): as an Amazon Associate SHATOSHI earns from qualifying purchases, for example the books and steel backups we link to on Amazon UK.

Links to Trezor, Coldcard, Foundation and Cryptosteel are plain links. We have no affiliate deal with them today. If that changes, those links will get the same asterisk and this page will be updated. We never use exchange referral links.

How we label them

Every affiliate link is marked with an asterisk (*) that links to this page. Pages that may contain affiliate links also say so near the top and link back here.

Our reviews stay independent

Nobody pays for a place in our guides or a better review. We decide what to cover and what to say. If a product has a weak spot, we say so. A commission never changes what we recommend.

Not financial or tax advice

Everything on SHATOSHI is general education. It is not financial, investment or tax advice. Bitcoin can swing hard in price. Do your own research and, if you need advice for your own situation, speak to a regulated adviser.
